Talking about fears, I have a few friends who don't fears anything in their live even death. I really admire them because I'm kind of fearful person. It means that most of things even animals, painfulness, death or ghost, I'm totally afraid.
Being alone used to my most fear, however I overcame this fear last year when I had arrived in the US 2 months ago. I used to live alone in a big friend's house because all of my friends had to work far from home. One of them work in San Diego and come home every weekend, others live in other states. I was very difficult to adapt in a new enviroment at that time and faced to my most fear, being alone. First few weeks, after coming back home from school, I packed my clothes and went to my friends' house for sleeping because I couldn't sleep at the house without people like that. However, my friends' house was very far from school, I had to wake up really early to drive from there to school during traffic hours. So, I couldn't go to my friend on weekdays anymore.
I tried to stay at home alone and faced with my fear. Everyday I went to school and came back home around 4:00 pm and couldn't go anywhere after that. I just stayed at only my room, even a little sound in the basement had, I counldn't go and check what happen was. I used to call my mom and my friends every night hours untill I was tired and fall to sleep. After few weeks, I got better, and I got familiar with living in a big house without friends. Therefore now, I can live alone in a house. My most fear doesn't exist anymore, however I still hate to being alone >"<.

My New Year's Resolution
I have a long to-do list for this year. My most important goal now is enter to MBA program. That sound likes simple with many people, but with me, it's not simple. I tried study hard to get enough TOEFL score for the enter requirement. Unfortunately, I didn't get enough the score last semester :( I was disappointed myself when I got the result. Sometimes, I think that I can't do it, and I'm afraid that I will get the same bad result like that again. I used to think like should I go back Vietnam immediately.
However, when I told to my parents, they didn't agree with my thought and said " Try and do it again. If you give up now, you can't do anything in the future." Yes, they are right. If I can't get TOEFL and achieve my goal, I still feel diffident with everyone and I think that is more important than can or can't go to MBA. Therefore, I try to get more motivation for this semester, continue with ALP classes and take one open university class ( one of the prerequisite courses before enter to MBA). I spend more time for practicing either TOEFL PPT or TOEFL iBT. I also join in a GMAT preparation program and I schedule to take this test around the end of March. Therefore, this semester I call it like a final and testing semester.
In addition, as well as I finish with those tests, I will take some trips to relaxing. I plan to visit my sister's house in Minnesota in this summer and go back Vietnam for one month to visit my family and relatives. Perhaps, I'll visit Seoul in this summer when I'm on the way back to Vietnam :) I and Sue will plan for it.
Last but not least, I live with my brother in a retal apartment, however, the contract of the apartment will expire in the end of this semester. It means after finish this semester, I have to looking for a new apartment or a condo for rent. It would be a very hard time for me because I have to find a room for two of us with good environment, safe location, suitable prices and do a lot of paper-works for rent.
That's all my new year's resolution. I hope that I can achieve! Pray for me, please!!! (^_^)

Introduction
My name is Vivian. I'm from Vietnam. My home town is Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai province, which is near Ho Chi Minh City. I graduated in 2008 from University of Economy of Ho Chi Minh City. My major is Business Administration. I intend to MBA in the US, so I have been here and have studied English in ALP, CSUF. For this semester, I try to get enough TOEFL score and GMAT to apply for MBA program for the next semester. I have many hobbies. The most hobby is travel around the world.
In the beginning of this semester, I met a lot of new friends in Proficient class. I have had many chance to make friends and know more about them. I would like to introduce one of my new friends in this class. She is Sue, a Korean girl. She is very dynamic and friendly. We know names of each other, however this is the first conversation that we have. She wants to continue to study this year and get well with English. Her major is Engineer of Computer, and she plans to study in Information Systems, Computer Science. The most interesting information that she told me is her boy friend is Vietnamese. I was really curious about their story like how did they know each other because one is Korean and used to live in Seoul, one is Vietnamese in California.
